Whenever my PIC (Partner In Crime) and I eat here, it's in a rush, we are 2 hangry redheads and it's at the time of day between ... should I wait for dinner & DINE or mad eat and DASH to be happy as we drive back to NJ.

We usually opt for the dine and dash, that way we avoid the whole road rage issue.

PIC is particularly finicky about her dine and dash places but for some reason this spot was never, ever on my radar of unknown places to stress eat and risk the drive, but surprisingly, the food is really good and I mean really good, none of the unsavory issues others have experienced, the price is easy on the budget and the lunch specials are quite hearty.

I have had a few of the lunch specials sweet and sour pork, kung po chicken and the house lo mein, I usually get the egg roll but in colder days the soup but I ask for them to mix the won ton with the egg drop. Sometimes I just want a snack so I get the beef on a stick or the cheese won-tons tasty little finger foods.

PIC gets chicken lo mein, chicken with cashew or chicken with string beans, She can't eat seafood or mushrooms, so if you have food allergies like she does, you know the fear of cross contamination, so far the crew here understand the fear and they have always been accommodating.

Everything is packaged neatly and easily, so eating in the car where we are comfortable before the long haul is never a hassle.

Extremely long delivery service... if you're hungry, plan on waiting a very long time for your food...
When the guy FINALLY showed up, I took my food and went to close my door.. HE then continued to OPEN my door again and screamed at me for a tip, when I had already tipped him and it was there on the receipt. Even if I did not tip him, he has NO right to open my door, and yell at me for one. To sum this whole series of events up, I had to DOUBLE tip him (on the receipt when I placed my order and when I signed for it) in order for him to leave my property. There are so many Chinese food places around, so don't waste your time on this one. Also, the quality of the food didn't make up for this incident... Never EVER in my life will I spend my money here again. Learn how to run a business first.....

Food is delicious. Always fresh but usually when i order like $30/$40 worth of food they give a free soda but when its different people behind the counter you dont always get it. When i tell them to make something crispy it doesnt happen 90% of the time. Besides that their food is great

Definitely the best Chinese food in North Rockland!

I'm a definite Chinese food snob. I always order the same thing - sweet and sour chicken with pork fried rice. That's the ultimate judge of Chinese food in my opinion. The chicken needs to have a crispy breading without being overcooked and toast-like. The sauce can't be too sweet or too thick. And the pieces of pork in the rice need to be big enough that you can actually taste them. Gum hoi checks all these boxes and serves me the best sweet and sour chicken that I've had in this area.

My boyfriend and I are definitely regulars here and this is now our go-to spot. Top picks: Sweet and sour chicken (obviously), BBQ spare ribs, and Sesame Chicken. They have, by far, top 5 sesame chicken that I've ever had. Ask for white meat only - there's no extra charge and it's beyond delicious.

Can't speak to the delivery services because we always pick up. But we've never had a problem ordering on the phone and they've never messed up our order. Definitely delicious food and great service. Bonus: no minimum for credit cards (or if there is, they don't stand by it!)
